We visited a splendid greenhouse that grows freesias (with an inebriating scent) and orchids.
The owners were exquisite, they described the cultivation process of both these flowers to us, completely different from each other.
Holland, unlike other Mediterranean countries, including Italy, is not a country with a favorable climate for the growth of flowers and vegetables. The secret lies precisely in the greenhouses, we were amazed at their technological level, plants (public construction and production) that distribute C02 free of charge to farmers, geothermal heating and obviously, where possible, artificial lighting.
But also young, qualified personnel responsible for entire supply chains.
